December:

12-22.
The Arthur M. Anderson arrived at the Fox River dock tonight at 2000 with a load of 17,000 tons of stoker coal for the Fox River Dock.

12-17.
The Cason J. Callaway brought in a load of coal from Toledo, OH. for the Fox River Dock today.

12-16.
The Calumet brought in the port's last load of salt for the season today from Fairport, OH. They unloaded it at the Fox River Dock.

12-15.
The Dorothy Ann-Pathfinder made it's first and only trip of the season to Green Bay today when they brought in a load of coal for the Fox River Dock. The John G. Munson made it's way into the Fox River Slip after the Pathfinder departed with a load of limestone for Great Lakes Calcium.

12-10.
The Catherine Desgagnes made her final trip of the year to Green Bay brining in a load of pig iron for the Fox River Dock.

12-09.
The Donald C. Hannah was in port over night unloading calcium chloride at the U.S. Oil dock. The Donald C. Hannah departed Green Bay at 0830. The USCG Cutter Mackinaw-30 also remained in port at the Leicht Memorial Park. The Mackinaw departed Green Bay at 1045 bound for Manitowoc, WI. The M/V Manistee was the first ship in port this morning getting in at 0100 with a load of salt from Fairport, OH. for the Fox River Dock. The Manistee made quick work of their unload and departed Green Bay by 0600. The G.L. Ostrander/Ingerity was the second vessel to arrive in Green Bay today getting in at 0700 with a load of cement for the LaFarge dock. The next vessel in was the Str. John G. Munson getting in at 0900 with a load of 15,000 tons of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River Dock. The Munson was in port till 1600 and then departed for Calcite, MI. The last vessel to arrive for the day was the M/V Sam Laud. The Laud got in at 1400 with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for the C. Riess Coal dock. The Sam Laud was in port till 2200 Friday night.

12-08.
The USCG Cutter WLBB-30 Mackinaw made it's maiden voyage from Marinette, WI. to Green Bay today. The Mackinaw was inbound Green Bay Thursday afternoon at 1415 and made it's way upriver to the Leicht Memorial Park where it tied up at 1500.

12-07.
The Str. Arthur M. Anderson arrived in Green Bay at 1500 today with a load of 17,000 tons of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River Dock.

12-06.
The M/V Buffalo which was due in port 0700 Tuesday got stuck in ice just off the Fox River Dock between Buoy 30 and the Tower Drive Bridge. The tug Indiana arrived at the mouth of the river around 1100 to break the Buffalo free. The Victoriaborg made its way into port right around the time the Buffalo was freed. The Victoriaborg went to the South K&K Warehousing dock where it unloaded lumber from Finland. The Buffalo went to the Georgia Pacific dock to unload western coal from KCBX in South Chicago.


November:

11-30.
The Str. Alpena departed Green Bay this morning at 1130 bound for Alpena, MI.

11-29.
The Menominee was in port overnight unloading lumber at the North K&K Warehousing dock. The Fred R. White Jr. was the first vessel in for the day arriving around midnight with a load of 22,000 tons of limestone from Stoneport, MI. for the Western Lime dock. The White was in port 6 hours and departed Green Bay for Port Inland around 0600. Next in was the Str. Alpena at 1115 with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. The Alpena was followed in closely by the Str. John G. Munson getting in at 1145 with a load of 15,000 tons of coal from Toledo, MI. for the Fox River Dock. The M/V Menominee departed K&K Warehousing with assistance from the Selvick tugs Carla Anne and Jacqueline Nicole at 1230. The M/V Maumee also made a suprise appearance in port getting in sometime early Tuesday morning with a load of coal from South Chicago for the Georgia Pacific.

The M/V Menominee arrived in Green Bay early Monday morning with a load of lumber from Gremany for the North K&K Warehousing dock.

11-25.
The M/V Vlieborg arrived in Green Bay 0945 Friday morning after spending the night at anchor outside the Green Bay navigational channel due to high winds and low water. They brought in a load of lumber from Sweden for the South K&K Warehousing dock. The M/V Maumee departed the Fox River Dock just after 1000.

11-24.
Happy Thanksgiving! The M/V Maumee arrived in Green Bay 0600 this morning with a load of 11,600 tons of salt for the Fox River Dock.

11-23.
The Kaye E. Barker arrived in Green Bay 0915 Saturday this morning with a load of 16,776 tons of coal from KCBX in South Chicago for the Fox River Dock.

11-21.
The Catherine Desgagnes departed the Fox River Dock early Monday morning bound for Marinette, WI. to complete unloading. The M/V Calumet made another trip to port arriving at 0800 with yet another load of salt from Fairport, OH. for the Fox River Dock. The Global Carrier remained in port unloading at the North K&K Warehousing dock.

11-20.
The Catherine Desgagnes arrived in Port at 1100 Sunday morning with a full load of pig iron from Quebec, Ont. for the Fox River Dock. The Global Carrier remained in port all day unloading at the North K&K Warehousing dock.

11-19.
The M/V Manistee arrived in Green Bay 0015 Saturday morning with a load of 13,000 tons of salt from Fairport, OH. for the Fox River Dock. They faced some delays due to a breakdown but completed unloading and departed Green Bay Saturday afternoon. The Str. J.A. W. Iglehart departed Green Bay at 0430 heading back to Alpena, MI. after unloading at the LaFarge dock. The M/V Global Carrier made it's first trip to the Port of Green Bay arriving at 1400 with a load of power plant sections from Romaina to be unloaded at the North K&K Warehousing dock.

11-18.
The J.A.W. Iglehart arrived in Green Bay 0430 this morning with a load of cement for the LaFarge dock.

11-17.
The Fred R. White Jr. made it's way into the Port of Green Bay after spending some time waiting weather outside the Green Bay navigational channel. They brought in a load of low fusion coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Georgia Pacific dock. They departed for Port Inland, MI. sometime Thursday afternoon.

11-15.
The Maumee departed Green Bay at 0730 this morning after unloading salt at the Fox River dock.

11-14.
The G.L. Ostrnader/Integrity arrived in Green Bay Monday morning to complete a split unload of cement at the LaFarge dock. They departed Green Bay 1900 back to Alpena, MI. to load. The M/V Maumee arrived in port at 2330 with a load of 13,000 tons of salt from Fairport, OH. for the Fox River dock.

The American Mariner and J.A.W. Iglehart were in port Sunday morning. The American Mariner had brought in a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock and the J.A.W. Iglehart brought in a load of cement from Alpena, MI.

The Str. Philip R. Clarke arrived in Green Bay this morning with a load of 14,969 tons of coal for the Fox River dock.

11-07.
The Algoma tanker Algosar made it's second trip of the season into the Port of Green Bay bringing in a load of diesel fuel for the U.S. Oil dock.

11-06.
The M/V Buffalo brought in a load of low fusion coal from Sandusky, OH. today for the Georgia Pacific dock.

The M/V Manistee arrived in Green Bay Saturday morning with a load of salt from Fairport, Ohio for the Fox River dock. The Manistee finished unloading and departed Green Bay just after noon. The John G. Munson arrived in port after waiting for the Manistee to clear them in the channel. The brought in a load of stone from Calcite, MI. for the Great Lakes Calcium dock.

The Great Lakes Trader arrived in port this morning with a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock.

The John J. Boland was in port today unloading a load of limestone from Port Inland, Michigan for the Western Lime dock.

11-01.
The Str. Alpena made it's first trip to Green Bay since it was in Sturgeon Bay for repairs. They brought in a load of cement from Alpena, MI. Tuesday for the LaFarge dock. The Alpena departed for it's name sake port later Tuesday to load for Detroit, MI.


October:

10-30.
The saltie Beluga Elegance arrived in port early Sunday morning with a load of power plant sections from Thailand for Westin WI, West Virginia, and parts of Minnesota.

10-29.
The John G. Munson departed Green Bay 0030 for Calcite, MI. The S.T. Crapo under tow of the tugs Ohio and Indiana arrived back in port at 1200 with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

10-28.
The John G. Munson arrived in Green Bay 1830 with a load of coal from Toledo, OH. for the Fox River Dock.

10-27.
The Algosar departed Green Bay today after unloading at U.S. Oil. The M/V Calumet made another trip into Green Bay bringing in a load of salt for the Fox River dock.

10-26.
The Algoma Central tanker Algosar (ex-Gemini) made it's first trip to Green Bay under it's new name at 1400 Wednesday bringing in a load of low sulpher diesel #2 for the U.S. Oil dock.

10-25.
The Buffalo was in port today unloading coal at Georgia Pacific from KCBX in South Chicago.

10-24.
The Str. J.A.W. Iglehart arrived in Green Bay early Monday morning with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. The Cason J. Callway arrived a little later Monday morning with a load of stone from Stoneport, MI. for the Great Lakes Calcium dock. Both vessels departed the port by Monday night.

10-20.
The M/V Earl W. Oglebay arrived in Green Bay at 0700 Thursday morning with a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock. The M/V H. Lee White arrived in port at 0845 with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for Wisconsin Public Service but unloaded at the Fox River Dock. The storage vessel S.T. Crapo departed Green Bay under the tow of the tug Ohio for the first time since 1996 to take on a load of cement in Alpena, MI. The G.L. Ostrander/Integrity arrived in Green Bay 1400 with a partial unload of cement from Milwaukee, WI. for the LaFarge dock. The Earl W. Oglebay and H. Lee White departed Green Bay later Thursday evening

10-19.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend departed Green Bay Wednesday morning for Milwaukee, WI. to complete unloading. The Great Lakes Towing tug Ohio arrived in Green Bay this morning and tied up at the C. Riess Coal dock. They made their way to the LaFarge dock Wednesday night to prepair the S.T. Crapo for a tow to Alpena, MI.

The M/V Paul H. Townsend arrived in Green Bay at 1645 Tuesday evening with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

10-17.
The M/V Manistee arrived in the Port of Green Bay 0500 Monday morning with a load of 13,300 tons of salt from Fairport, OH. for the Fox River Dock. They were in port nearly six hours and departed Green Bay at 1045.

10-15.
The John G. Munson arrived in Green Bay 0145 Saturday morning with a 12,000 ton split load of stoker coal from Ashtabula and Toledo, OH for the Fox River Dock. The M/V Earl W. Oglebay who also loaded coal in Toledo, OH was an hour and forty-five minutes behind the Munson in the bay. The Earl W. Oglebay arrived in port at 0330 and proceeded upriver to the C. Riess coal dock. They departed Green Bay later Saturday morning around 1000. The Munson also departed Saturday morning for Drummond Island, MI.

10-12.
The G.L. Ostrander / Integrity arrived in Green Bay this morning from Milwaukee, WI. to complete a split unload of cement from Alpena, MI. at the LaFarge dock.

10-11.
The Fred R. White Jr. arrived in Green Bay late Tuesday afternoon with a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock. They departed later Tuesday night.

10-08.
The Paul H. Townsend departed Green Bay Saturday afternoon after the M/V Manistee passed them inbound. The Manistee unloaded coal at the Georgia Paicifc dock and departed later Saturday night.

10-07.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend brought in a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

10-06.
The M/V Menominee brought in a load of lumber for Germany for the North K&K Warehousing dock.

10-05.
The Str. J.A.W. Iglehart departed Green Bay 1030 Wednesday back to Alpena, MI.

10-04.
The Str. J.A.W. Iglehart arrived in Green Bay 1030 Tuesday morning with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. The M/V Calumet arrived in port behind the J.A.W. Iglehart getting in at 1100 with a load of 12,500 tons of Cargril salt from Goderich, Ont. for the Fox River Dock. The Calumet departed Green Bay later Tuesday.

10-02.
The Courtney Burton completed her unload and departed for Superior at 0530 this morning. The tug/barge Pere Marquette 41 and Undaunted arrived in port Sunday night with a load of pig iron for the Fox River Dock.

10-01.
The M/V Varnabank departed Green Bay 1200 today after unloading wood pulp at the South K&K Warehousing dock. The classic steamer Courtney Burton made her first appearance in the Port of Green Bay since the 80's with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for the Wisconsin Public Service dock. The coal was unloaded at the Fox River Dock.


September:

09-30.
The M/V Varnabank arrived in Green Bay today bringing in a load of wood pulp from Sweden for the South K&K Warehousing dock.

09-29.
The M/V Earl W. Oglebay arrived in Green Bay this morning after spending the night at anchor due to high winds. The Earl W. Oglebay brought in a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock. The Arthur M. Anderson also arrived in port at 1330 after spending the night at anchor as well. The Anderson came in from Manitowoc, WI. to complete a split unload of coal from KCBX in South Chicago at the C. Riess Coal Dock.

09-28.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend departed Green Bay at 0500 this morning back to Alpena, MI. The Cason J. Callaway arrived in Green Bay this morning with a load of limestone for the Great Lakes Calcium dock. The Callaway departed later Wednesday.

09-27.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend came back to Green Bay at 0830 Tuesday morning with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

09-24.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend departed Green Bay 1700 Saturday afternoon for Alpena, MI.

09-23.
The Str. Middletown made a rare trip to Green Bay bringing in a load of coal from the Conrail #10 dock in Ashtabula, OH. for the Wisconsin Public Service dock at 0430 Friday morning. The coal was unloaded at the Fox River Dock and transfered to WPS via a convoy of four large dumptrucks and a loader.

09-22.
The Str. Kaye E. Barker arrived in Green Bay 1730 Thursday evening with a load of coal from KCBX in South Chicago for the Fox River Dock. The Barker was in port about six hours and departed Green Bay 2400.

09-21.
The Str. John G. Munson made an early morning trip to Green Bay arriving around 0300 with a load of 17,960 tons of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River Dock.

09-16.
The T/B G.L. Ostrander/Integrity arrived in Green Bay from Milwaukee, WI. just before 0400 to complete a split unload of cement from Alpena, MI. at the LaFarge dock. They departed Green Bay for Alpena, Michigan later Friday morning. The M/V H. Lee White was also in port today with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for Wisconsin Public Service. The coal was unloaded at the Fox River Dock and will be transported to WPS on a later date. The H. Lee White departed Friday afternoon.

09-14.
The M/V John J. Boland arrived in Green Bay first thing Wednesday morning with a load of 21,000 tons of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock. The M/V Paul H. Townsend also arrived in port early Wednesday morning bringing in a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. Both vessels departed Green Bay Wednesday afternoon.

09-11.
The Str. J.A.W. Iglehart departed Green Bay today bound for Alpena, MI. The Str. Philip R. Clarke arrived in Green Bay this morning with a load of coal from South Chicago for the C. Riess coal dock. The Clarke departed later Monday evening for Stoneport, MI.

The Str. J.A.W. Iglehart arrived in Green Bay 1445 Sunday afternoon with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

09-08.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend arrived in Green Bay early Thursday morning with a load of cement for the LaFarge dock. While in port the Townsend experienced a breakdown. The Townsend made some repairs and completed unloading and departed Green Bay at 2345 for Alpena, MI. The Adam E. Cornelius made it's first trip of the season to the Port of Green Bay and its first ever visit to the Fox River dock today. The Cornelius arrived around 1600 with a load of 11,040 tons of coal from Conneaut, OH. The Cornelius was expected to be in port about four hours and then depart for Calcite, MI.

09-06.
The M/V Catherine Desgagnes arrived in Green Bay today with a partial unload of pig iron for the Fox River dock. They departed Tuesday afternoon for Marinette, WI. to complete unloading.

09-05.
The M/V Prinsenborg departed Green Bay Monday morning at 0600 after unloading lumber at the North K&K Warehousing dock. The M/V Sam Laud arrived in Port today with a load of coal for the Georgia Pacific dock. The Sam Laud departed Green Bay this afternoon at 1445.

09-04.
The M/V Prinsenborg arrived in Green Bay Sunday morning with a load of lumber from Germany for the North K&K Warehousing dock.

09-02.
The Str. Cason J. Callaway arrived in Green Bay at 1400 this afternoon with a load of coal from KCBX in South Chicago for the C. Riess coal dock. The Callaway departed late Friday night.

09-01.
The Str. Kaye E. Barker arrived in Green Bay at 1000 this morning with a load of 16,500 tons of western coal from KCBX in South Chicago for the Fox River dock. The Pere Marquette 41 and tug Undaunted arrived in Green Bay 1500 Thursday afternoon with a load of just over 5,000 tons of pig iron for the Fox River dock. The Kaye E. Barker departed the Fox River dock around 1800 Thursday evening for Stoneport, MI.


August:

08-31.
The J.A.W. Iglehart departed Green Bay at 0630 this morning bound for Alpena, MI. to load. The American Republic arrived in port at 1430 with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for the C. Riess coal dock. The Str. Alpena finished repairs and unloading in Green Bay and departed for Alpena, MI. to load at 1700 Wednesday evening.

08-30.
The M/V Manistee departed Green Bay early Tuesday morning for Brevort, MI. The Str. Alpena which was in port over night experienced a break down with it's unloading system and had to stop unloading to make repairs. at 1230 the Alpena departed the LaFarge dock, departed the Green Bay navigational channel to allow the J.A.W. Iglehart to come in to port. After the Iglehart made it's way into the navigational channel, the Alpena came back into port and tied up to the C. Riess coal dock to finish repairs and wait for the Iglehart to complete it's unload. The J.A.W. Iglehart arrived in Green Bay at 1445 with a partial unload of cement for the LaFarge dock.

08-29.
The Str. Alpena arrived in Green Bay 0730 Monday morning with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. The M/V Manistee made its first ever trip to Green Bay Monday night arriving at 1930 with a load of coal from KCBX in South Chicago for the Georgia Pacific dock. The Manistee visited the Port of Green Bay several times in 2004 as it's previous name the M/V Richard Riess.

08-26.
The M/V Virginiaborg arrived in Green Bay Friday morning with a load of lumber from Finland. They departed 1430 Friday afternoon for Menominee, MI.

08-25.
The M/V Maumee arrived in Green Bay 0230 Thursday with a load of salt for the Fox River dock. The Maumee departed later Thursday morning at 0930.

08-23.
The Str. Cason J. Callaway arrived in the Port of Green Bay Tuesday evening at 1800 with a load of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the C. Riess Coal dock. The M/V Paul H. Townsend was just a couple hours behind the Callaway in the bay and arrived in Green Bay with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. at 2000

08-20.
The M/V Calumet arrived in Green Bay 2000 Saturday night with a load of coal for the Georgia Pacific dock.

08-19.
The M/V Menominee arrived in Green Bay Thursday morning with a load of lumber for the North K&K Warehousing dock. Next to arrive was the Str. John G. Munson with a load of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River dock. The Paul H. Townsend finished it's unload at the LaFarge dock and departed Green Bay 1715 for Alpena, MI.

08-17.
The M/V Paul H. Townsend arrived at the LaFarge dock 2230 tonight with a load of cement from Alpena, MI.

08-16.
The M/V H. Lee White arrived in Green Bay today with a load of 23,000 tons of Eastern coal from Ashtabula, OH. for the Wisconsin Public Service power plant in Green Bay. The coal was unloaded at the Fox River dock as the WPS slip is unusable due to inactivity over the years. The Selvick tug Jimmy L. also arrived in port at 1300 Tuesday and proceeded to the South K&K Warehousing dock and tied up to wait the arrival of the M/V Menominee due in Thursday.

08-15.
The M/V Catherine Desgagnes arrived in port with a load of pig iron for the Fox River dock. The Catherine Desgagnes made short work of the unload and departed later Monday.

08-13.
The tug G.L. Ostrander and barge Integrity broke a lull in shipping traffic for the month of August when they arrived in Green Bay from Milwaukee, WI. at 0245 with a partial unload of cement from Alpena, MI for the LaFarge dock. They were in port most of Saturday and departed in the evening for Alpena, MI.

08-09.
Wisconsin's Flagship S/V Denis Sullivan made a visit to Green Bay before starting a three day voyage to Milwaukee, WI.

08-08.
The Str. Alpena departed Green Bay 0430 this morning bound for Alpena, MI.

08-08.
The Str. Alpena arrived in port at 0535 Monday morning with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock.

08-06.
The M/V Fred R. White Jr. came into port early Saturday morning with a load of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Georgia Pacific dock. The Str. John G. Munson arrived later Saturday at 1400 with a load of coal from Sandusky OH. as well to be unloaded at the Fox River dock. The Fred R. White Jr. was outbound Green Bay Saturday at 1545 for Port Inland, MI. and the John G. Munson departed 2330 for Stoneport, MI.


July:

07-31.
The American Republic departed Green Bay early this morning after unloading coal at the C. Riess Coal dock. The Str. Alpena was next to depart at 1715 after unloading cement at LaFarge. The John G. Munson arrived in port today with a load of limestone from Calcite, MI. for the Great Lakes Calcium dock. The Munson completed it's unload and departed for Meldrum Bay, Ont. Sunday night.

07-30.
The Cason J. Callaway was in port overnight unloading coal at the C. Riess coal dock and departed Green Bay 0930. The Str. Alpena arrived in port Saturday with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. Last to arrive was the M/V American Republic with a load of coal from Ashtabula, OH. for the C. Riess Coal dock.

07-29.
The Fred R. White Jr. Arrived in Green Bay in the early morning hours of Friday with a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock. The White departed Green Bay 0930 bound for Port Inland, MI. to load stone. The Cason J. Callaway arrived later Friday at 2000 with a load of coal from South Chicago for the C. Riess Coal dock.

07-26.
The G.L. Ostrander - Integrity, CEC Spring, and Catherine Desgagnes all departed their docks and left Green Bay Tuesday morning. The M/V Algomarine was the only inbound vessel arriving around 0800 with a load of 19,000 tons of salt for the Fox River dock. The Algomarine departed Green Bay this afternoon at 1545 with assistance from the tug Indiana.

07-25.
The CEC Spring remained in port Monday unloading steel at the North K&K Warehousing dock. The Catherine Desgagnes was also in port unloading pig iron at the Fox River dock. The Arthur M. Anderson arrived in Green Bay at 0100 with a load of coal from South Chicago for the C. Riess Coal dock. The Anderson departed Green Bay later Monday morning. The G.L. Ostrander - Integrity was the last to arrive today bringing in a partial unload of cement from Milwaukee, WI. for the LaFarge dock.

07-24.
The Maumee finished her unload and departed Green Bay 0630 for Port Inland, MI. The saltwater vessel CEC Spring on her first trip to the Great Lakes arrived in the port of Green Bay this morning with a load of steel to be used in constructing wind towers in southern Wisconsin for the North K&K Warehousing dock.

07-23.
The M/V Maumee arrived in Green Bay Saturday night at 2135 with a load of 11,500 tons of Western coal for the Georgia Pacific dock. The Maumee was due to unload for six hours.

07-21.
The Str. Alpena arrived in Green Bay at 1300 with a load of cement for the LaFarge dock.

07-18.

The Great Lakes Trader made a late night arrival to the port of Green Bay bringing in a load of 26,300 tons of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for the Western Lime dock.

The American Republic was the last vessel of the day arriving at 1900 with a load of coal for the C. Riess coal dock. The Republic departed Green Bay at Midnight.

Crew members aboard the Munson were shown a wonderful display of fireworks that were being shot off between the Western Lime and North Leicht docks as part of the city of Green Bay's 4th of July celebration.

White Jr. both departed Tuesday, the Alpena is due to depart Wednesday morning.

Callaway also arrived Saturday evening and unloaded coal amid rain showers at the C. Riess Coal dock.

The Kaye E. Barker arrived in the port of Green Bay for the first time in two years with a load of coal from South Chicago for the Fox River Dock. The Barker was in port 7 hours and departed at midnight for Sturgeon Bay to get some repairs done in the shipyard.

The Algomarine arrived in Green Bay Wednesday morning brining in a load of 24,000 tons of Morton salt for the Fox River Dock from Windsor, Ont. This was the first load of salt brought in this season. The Algomarine is expecting to make a couple return trips later on in the season.

The Varnebank departed Green Bay today after unloading lumber at K&K Saturday. The Sam Laud arrived Sunday afternoon with a load of 16,000 tons of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River Dock. Thursday was a busy day in the Port of Green Bay. The Alpena arrived early Thursday with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. Next to arrive was the McKee Sons with a load of coal from Sandusky, OH. for the Fox River Dock. Coming in behind the McKee Sons was the Great Lakes Trader with a load of limestone from Port Inland, MI. for Western Lime.

The M/V Calumet arrived in Green Bay around 0600 this morning with a load of 11,200 tons of western coal from South Chicago for the Georgia Pacific Dock. The Calumet was outbound Green Bay 1215 Wednesday afternoon.

The Catherine Desgagnes also arrived in Green Bay Saturday night with a load of pig iron for the Fox River Dock. The Buffalo departed Georgia Pacific Saturday evening and was outbound Green Bay 1830. The USCG Mobile Bay was working aides to navigation in the bay much of the day Saturday.

The Cason J. Callaway arrived right after midnight with a load of coal from Toledo, OH. for the Fox River Dock. The Callaway departed around 0800 Friday. USCG Mobile Bay was also in the area Friday putting in summer aides to navigation between the mouth of the Fox River and Long Tail Point.

The David Z. Norton arrived in Green Bay 0500 this morning with a load of 12,000 tons of low fusion coal from South Chicago for Georgia Pacific. The Norton departed later Thursday morning at 1030. The tug Donald C. Hannah was also in port today unloading at U.S. Oil.

The M/V Menominee was the first saltwater vessel to arrive in Green Bay for the 2005 season arriving Sunday morning with a load of lumber from Sweden for the K&K Warehousing dock. The steamer Alpena was the first vessel of the year to bring in cement arriving 1530 with a load of cement from Alpena, MI. for the LaFarge dock. The Selvick tug Jimmy L. also came into port today around noon and is tied up with the other Selvick tugs in port; Carla Anne and Jacquelyn Nicole.

Fleet mates John G. Munson and Cason J. Callaway departed Green Bay this morning after spending nearly 48 hours in port. The Munson and Callaway were the first vessels of the 2005 season but were forced to stay in Green Bay after unloading was complete due to a severe storm system that brought high winds, frequent lightning, and strong winds which closed the tracks in the ice on the Bay of Green Bay.

The 2005 season started in Green Bay with dual visits from ships in the Great Lakes Fleet. The Cason J. Callaway arrived around 1445 with a load of 17,000 tons of coal from South Chicago for the C. Riess Coal Dock. The John G. Munson arrived shortly after the Callaway around 1515 with a load of 17,263 tons of coal from Toledo, OH for the Fox River Dock.

2004 SEASON ENDS. The 2004 shipping season came to a close today with the arrival of the Philip R. Clarke. The Clarke arrived Thursday morning at 0730 with an escort from the USCG Mobile Bay and tug Erika Kobasic. The Clarke unloaded 12,825 tons of eastern coal at the Fox River dock and ended the season for Green Bay when she departed for lay-up in Sturgeon Bay after 1430.

The Arthur M Anderson was the third vessel of 2005 bringing in a third straight load of coal for the Fox River Dock. The Anderson arrived around 1030 Wednesday morning with a load of 15,482 tons of stoker coal for the Fox River Dock. The Anderson faced ice as thick as 18 inches enroute to Green Bay and was assisted by the Selvick tug Jimmy L. Around 1430 The Arthur M. Anderson was underway and departed Green Bay with the Jimmy L. following.

The 2004 shipping season carried into the new year with the arrival of the vessels Philip R. Clarke and John G. Munson. The Philip R. Clarke arrived around 1030 Saturday morning with a load of 12,600 tons of coal from Ashtabula, OH for the Fox River Dock. The John G. Munson arrived about 30 minutes after the Clarke with a load of 17,900 tons of coal from Sandusky, OH. also for the Fox River Dock. The two vessels fought ice 10 to 12" thick between Peshtigo, WI. and Green Bay. The Clarke finished unloading Saturday evening and waited on the Munson which was blocking the slip. Both vessels departed together around 2030 Saturday night.
